We encourage all paricipants of the Samoan exercise

to publish alert details on this site. Crowd data can be

consumed on this site as well as Alert Zones. Our

technology can write out to multiple spatial formats.

SamoAlert.com is also designed as a robust Alert System that

can publish Location-Based alerts via SMS, Email, Phone Call,

Tweets, GeoRSS and various other formats. You can register for

an account on this site and provide your location and contact

information.

Team Communications

SamoAlert.com is designed for teams and organizations to

communicate effectively on site in an emergency sitaution.

You can establish connections on the site to manage alerts,

team updates and other news using the Instant Messaging

and forum features. All site members are published on a

web map with their preferred alert location.

Welcome to SamoAlert.com!

This website was designed by Pin Point Alerts - an Irish Location-based Alerts company. Thanks to everybody who registered during the recent Samoan Cyclone Alert exercise.

Registration for this site is still open!

A standard account provides access to two of our three core features: Spatial Data Sharing and Crisis Team Communciations. You will also be able to register to receive alerts during the emergency via SMS.

Our final core feature is the ability to publish alerts through this website. Alerts are issued based on geographic extents and will be managed solely by David L. during the simulation. If you want "read only" access to the Alerter control panel then get in touch and we can supply this. Testing of our technology will continue after the exercise is completed.

About this Application:

This application was designed as part of the UN-SPIDER sponsored exercise at Samoa. We presented our technology at the United Nations, November 2011, and we offered our servcies to assist with the "Samoan Exercise" to help determine a road map for crisis communications in the Samoan region.
